Remembrance Day
18th Nov 2020
In P5 we spent some time learning about the meaning of Remembrance Day and why it is held every year. We learnt that the poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day as it was the flower that grew in many of the battlefields where soldiers died in World War 1. After we had learnt about why the poppy is important and the importance of Remembrance Day, we took some time to make our own poppies in class that we could wear to show our remembrance.
