School Council

Abbots Cross School Council 2017-2018……

To begin the year, the School Council Representatives had a ‘Snack and Chat’ meeting with Mrs Griffith to discuss their thoughts and ideas for the year ahead.  It all sounds very exciting!

As part of Science and Engineering week , the School Council ran a ‘Moving Art Competition’.  Many children took part and produced some very creative pieces.  Have a look:

School Council activities in other years:

Christmas Jumper Day

Pupils from lots of classes asked if they could get new equipment for the playgrounds.  School Council representatives decided to organise a Christmas Jumper Day to raise money to buy the new equipment.  Everyone looked great on the day and a fabulous £227.50 was raised!  We are looking forward to selecting and buying all the new toys!

Creepy Café Bun Sale

In Abbots Cross, we are supporting the Shoe Box Appeal. The School Council decided they could help raise the money needed to fill the shoe boxes with lots of lovely items and to pay the postage costs.  They organised a ‘Creepy Café Bun Sale’ for just before the Halloween holiday.  All pupils from P1-P7 visited the café and bought lots of tasty buns!
