Hello everyone and welcome to Primary 7!

It is a new school year and my new Primary 7 children are ready to work hard and challenge themselves in all lessons.

We have a busy term ahead- in Literacy we will be learning about persuasive writing skills. The children will be writing a persuasive letter to Mrs Griffith linked to our space topic. 

In Numeracy, the children will be consolidating and building upon their addition and subtraction skills. This will be for both mental and written methods. Another area of Numeracy the children will be learning about is decimals. We will be using our knowledge of fractions to help learn about these and then build on this knowledge further by linking them with percentages.

In our Topic lessons we will begin to learn about the space through our topic 'Martian Masterchef'. We will learn about the planets in our solar system and particularly Mars- do you think there could be life on Mars?
