The Treehouse provides a short-term, focused intervention for children with particular social, emotional and behavioural difficulties which are creating a barrier to learning within the mainstream class.
Each class consists of approximately 6-8 children and is led by a nurture teacher and classroom assistant. Our specially trained nurture staff assess the learning and social and emotional needs and give help that is needed to remove the barriers to learning.
Children attending The Treehouse remain an active part of their mainstream class, spending time in both classrooms according to their need. Children typically return full time to their own class within two to four terms.
