A New School Year 2022

Welcome

We have had a lovely sunshine start to our new school year! We are delighted to welcome all our new pupils in Primary 1 and a number of other pupils who have joined each year group throughout the school.

Surestart

Surestart have joined us in Abbots Cross and it is lovely to have the youngest members of our school family in the building.

Transfer Procedure

Our Primary 7 pupils are already working hard in preparation for the transfer to post primary education. If you need any information about transfer procedure do not hesitate to call the school office and we are happy to help.

PTA

Our KS2 pupils are already enjoying the new play equipment installed at the front of the school and we want to say a big thank you to PTA for raising the funds to pay for this. All parents are welcome at our PTA and we will keep you informed about meetings and events as they start up.

Attendance

We are looking forward to a school year where things have returned to normal, although we will continue with good ventilation and increased hygiene measures to keep everyone safe and well. Schooling has been disrupted in the last few years and many of our children have missed days due to Covid and isolating. We would encourage you to make every effort to get your child to school every day, unless sickness prevents this. Staff are working hard to help children make up for lost time and even one day’s absence can have an effect on a child’s progress.
