Today after reading the story called Shopping Shambles, we were asked to help Discovery Dog find out which groceries had rolled furthest away. In order to do this we decided to carry out a scientific investigation. We rolled some cylinder shaped groceries down a ramp to see which rolled the furthest, making sure that we carried out a fair test. We wanted to find out if size, length, weight, width or shape made a difference to the result. We discovered that the tin of beans, the container of chilli powder and the Smash container rolled the furthest. We decided that this was because these containers had the best cylinder shape. We really enjoyed carrying out this investigation.
