This year’s Eco Council have already been very busy. Last week we had a visit from Anna at NI Water who talked to us about single use plastic and the importance of using reusable water bottles and drinking tap water, rather than wasting our money and affecting our environment with plastic bottles.
Today we had a visit from Emma from Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. She helped us to complete a bin audit to look at what we are throwing away in school. We talked about different ways that we could reduce our waste and hope to share our learning with the rest of the school soon.
