We had a very special visitor at Abbots Cross yesterday. Kenny Shiels, the manager of the Northern Ireland Ladies Football Team. Miss Cochrane’s girls football team were treated to a fantastic football training session to further develop their skills. Next, both P4 and P5 classes had a series of skills sessions which included a mini Champions League themed tournament and a game of Hungry Hippos. After this both P6 and P7 classes were involved in a question and answer session were they asked Kenny some fascinating questions. Today Kenny reminded us about the importance of believing in yourself and always remembering to have fun in everything you do. A wonderful message and treat just before Christmas! Thank you to Miss Cochrane for coordinating this special visit. We had such a great day and are so thankful for Kenny coming in to encourage and inspire us!
