As we read information about penguins we discovered that their feathers are waterproof. To help us find out more about what waterproof means we used wax crayons to try to waterproof our penguin picture. We dropped water onto the wax covered paper as well as regular paper to investigate what would happen. We discovered the water sat in bubbles on the wax but soaked into the paper. We had made a waterproof penguin.
