In June we planted poppy seeds to create a ribbon of poppies as part of the 100 year anniversary of the end of World War 1. Our wonderful sunny and dry summer meant that only a few poppies grew, even with the dedicated work of Lunch Time Gardeners and Summer Gardeners who carried many, many heavy watering cans. So, we decided to make our own poppies instead. We think they look fabulous!
