To end our WW2 topic Primary 4 had our very own VE day party! In prepartion for our year group party we made our own decorations including bunting, posters, teacups and banners. We joined our tables together as a year group and had a street party to celebrate just as they did 77 years ago! We learnt the lyrics to 'We'll meet again' and had lots of delicous snacks including bread and jam, custard creams, sweets and squash!
Mrs Griffith even popped in! We finished off our party by playing pass the parcel and the winner received their very own pen and diary just like Anne Frank!! What a fun way to end our topic.
