Our ECO Council is made up of members from P1-P7 and they work very hard to maintain our ECO School status. Younger Eco Reps have Eco buddies that can help and support them with classroom activities like emptying compost and recycling bins, and monitoring electricity.

We are proud to share that after our hard work last year our Green Flag status was renewed in June!  The Eco Schools Team praised the continuity and strength of our school programme and recognised our whole school commitment.  Last year our Eco Committee had visits from NI Water Refill and Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, and took part in a number of campaigns to improve recycling and reduce litter in our school and community. This year we aim to improve our data collection with a focus on pupil monitoring of electricity and water usage across the school.

Our Eco Schools approach will look slightly different this year due to the current situation but we will continue to work hard to look after our school environment and community and educate each other in becoming responsible and caring citizens.

Keep an eye out for upcoming events and challenges - we are always busy!
